Calphalon HE650CO XL Review
The Calphalon HE650CO XL has not received very favorable reviews. While most users have appreciated its sleek appearance and the one-year warranty period, its performance has been nothing short of disappointing. An overwhelming number of users complained about the poor quality of its design. It does not fit well on all kitchen countertops, so getting this product is a risk.
One user even had to go through the trouble of making several trips to the service center to get it repaired. If a problem crops up after the warranty period, you better be prepared to spend quite a lot of money on repairs.
Consumers suggest that one should stick to the oven’s middle rack, or you may end up burning the food. The interior of Calphalon HE650CO XL convection toaster oven is not engineered properly therefore it is hard to accommodate a casserole dish. Moreover, the quality of baked food hardly matches up to your expectations.
Using this particular convection model could result is wastage of substantial amount of time as you are required to stand and watch the food rotate. At times, the rotation stops automatically and won’t start until it is forced to. A few reviewers have pointed out the oven is not evenly heated. This increases time it takes to cook anything. It won’t be surprising if you find your food not well cooked.
The Calphalon HE7650C0 XL also exhibits manufacturing issues. The hinges of the oven door are not properly engineered, though if they are properly tightened and repaired, the door does work properly, without any serious malfunction. To compound the user’s troubles, the HE650C0 XL only has 3 rubber feet instead of 4. All in all, considering all its flaws, this model is a bad buy and we seriously recommend that you look elsewhere.
